October 2008 – Fashion Show held at Drakes Circus, Plymouth, organised by the Soroptomists as part of ‘Project Pink’ Plymouth. The event aimed to increase awareness of breast cancer care. There were two fashion shows during the day entitled ‘Funky Fashion’. The clothing modelled was designed and made by students from the Plymouth College of Art and Design.
July 2008 – ‘Stripped’ Fashion Show held at Bohemia Night Club, Torquay, organised by tReds. This event was in aid of Cancer Research UK-Reduce the Risk, aimed at awareness for the younger generation.
June 2008 – Finalist in Miss Torbay competition organised by Torbay Carnival Committee in support of local charities. As a finalist, I was also asked to take part in the ‘Torbabes’ team which entered the It’s a Knockout competition as a finale to carnival week.
June 2008 – Fashion show held at Armada Way Piazza, Plymouth, which was organised by the Plymouth College of Art and Design. This was to showcase the designs of the Diploma and Degree students from the college and was in aid of the PCAD Charitable Trust. A total of four shows took place during the day and evening.
May 2008 – Fashion Show held at Grand Hotel, Torquay, in aid of Animals in Distress. Clothes modelled were supplied by About Maria from Paignton.
