As it’s #LFW I thought I’d do a fashiony piece (totally not a word according to spell check but I’m gonna roll with it anyway!) As mono colour tones, denim and 90s throwback outfit clad fashionistas hit the streets of London I wanted to share my top Autumn items from a brand that’s smashing it at the minute; River Island. Now I used to work for River Island, in fact I think it was my very first job (other than the paper round of course!) so I’ve been a fan for a loooong time, let’s check out what you need to get your hands on…

The Baker Boy Hat

Let’s start cheaply shall we, ease ourselves in gently ha! These baker boy hats are sooo cute and the perfect accessory to any Autumn outfit whether it’s a dress or trousers. Here’s mine for £18.

The Red Boots

After Gigi Hadid was spotted wearing double denim with red boots, well naturally they have appeared everywhere! From ankle boots to thigh highs, leather to suede they are certainly going to add a pop of colour to Autumn! I opted for the red thigh highs I just think they make such a statement and surprisingly go with a lot in my wardrobe; shirt dresses, mini skirts, mono colour dresses… You can shop mine here for £85. The Denim Shirt Dress

I tried this on twice, I know right I’m usually the kinda girl who sees something, buys it, you know the drill but I actually had to go back and try this one on again as it just isn’t me. I’m not really a denim person but I think when it comes to fashion you should be adventurous and try things that are out of your comfort zone. So I bought it and I love it! I wore it as a dress to fashion week but you can also wear it as a jacket over dresses or even double up with denim jeans. Shop mine here for £55

The Vinyl Trousers

Proper 90s chick right here! Great with a statement belt, I know you’ve got that Gucci number in your wardrobe girls! Perfect for day or night, dress them up dress them down. Get these which are similar to mine here for £36.

The Check Skirt

Love this skirt with a slogan tee or crop top. Over the knee boots compulsory of course, add a pop of colour with a jacket, River Island have a great red faux suede one. Shop the skirt here for £32

The Flying Jacket

Another old school twist, I love how fashions come back around, this is why you should never throw anything out! Great to chuck on over any outfit and they are soooo warm you literally don’t need to wear anything underneath 😉 Get one similar to mine from River Island here for £90 – just a little tip, go one size up in these, bigger looks cooler!
