Cahoots

What Ho guys and gals!

I’m going to share with you a secret location in London, full of mischievous scoundrels such as yourselves sipping summer fruit mixers, sharing picnic sandwiches and shimmying on down to a bit swing.

It’s called Cahoots, I’m sure you’ve heard of it, if not maybe the Captain hasn’t extended his invitation to you yet… not to worry, why not surprise him and book a table, show him who’s boss hey! My gentleman friend and I attended one of the Squiffy picnics on a Sunday. We slipped in the secluded entrance just off Kingly Court (between Kingly Street and Carnaby Street) you see Cahoots is very inconspicuous, so inconspicuous we couldn’t actually find it and I had to put in a call to a fellow scoundrel friend, who had previously visited, to spill the beans. She said to follow the trains, so we did, and headed into the deserted underground station. Once inside we were escorted to our carriage amid the chitter chatter of chums and busy barmen shaking up a cocktail. The décor is traditional 1940s chic, and so should be your attire my dears, think vintage glamour darlings, the captain doesn’t appreciate trainers and jeans, that’s soooo 2016 don’t you know?

We nibbled away on our hand made sandwiches from our picnic bag whilst enjoying the swinging sounds of the house band, trumpet and all! Our hamper of cheeky beverages soon appeared full of refreshing G and Ts and a dash of vino. Also hiding in the hamper were a fabulous selection of mouth watering desert fancies and what’s that? A polystyrene plane (don’t pretend you don’t remember these from back in the day), which we assembled and threw across the speak easy accompanied by the band conveniently playing the Dam Busters theme.

In short chaps, if you’re looking for a splendid / spiffing / spectacular night out with a twist of blitz spirit vintage glamour then jump on board the ever popular bandwagon Cahoots! Just be sure to ask for the captain on arrival, and remember, it’s a secret, so you didn’t hear it from me ok! Thanks old bean 😉
