There is one good thing about the UK’s summer peaking later than expected and that’s that the summer sales are beginning just as the sun decides to poke its head out of the clouds and we decide it’s time to splurge on the summer wardrobe. And if like me you’re trying to save up for an unforgettable holiday to the white Isle of Ibiza you’ve got to find some way of saving the pennies without going full fashion faux pas on the world! Let’s be broke in style, forget full price, here are my top purchases from the sale rail…
Babymilk / hotmess
White long sleeved textured dress £23 from £46 Also available in pink and black
I wore this for the first time yesterday and I love love love it! Great quality and the sleeves are super cute in lace which gives it a nice feminine touch. Plus the v neck is deffo bringing sexy back! Team with a black belt, velvet choker and black fedora.

Natural shimmer Bridgette crochet bikini top £16 from £26 and bottoms £14 from £24
Seriously I got soooo many compliments on this bikini when I was on holiday, the fact that it’s high waisted nails the beach chic vibe. Team with an oversized straw hat and off to the pool you go! Plus the top is so pretty that I often wear it as a crop top with shorts.

Jack Wills
Edmonstone Broderie Playsuit £28 from £69.50
Playsuits are one of my fav go to items for summer and this one takes the biscuit! Dress it up with a vibrant blazer, heels and a chunky necklace in the evening or dress it down with flip flops and a hat in the day. The broderie texture / pattern featured heavily in the summer collection and is a true classic.

Didworthy Striped Bandeau Dress £24 from £59.50
I read a whole article in ‘Look’ magazine this week about baby blue and white pinstripes. I’ve tried on a few babydoll dresses and bardot style dresses in this print but felt it was bordering on the ‘nurse scrubs’ or hospital pyjamas which is totally not the look I was going for. However, this dress is perfect, the stripes are so thin that they almost make the dress look a very light blue and the fact the structure of the dress is boned it gives a flattering shape as it hugs your figure. Plus the strapless style is perfect for those hot days when you don’t want to get strap marks!

Oasis
Chelsea Bell Sleeve Dress £32 from £70
Loved this collection from Oasis this year, in fact you can read my whole feature on it here and this has to be my favourite piece from the range. It’s perfect for any special occasion such as the races, a wedding or christening, summer lunch with the girls or dinner date. Plus the vibrant colours make it easy to match your nails / accessories and blazers to.

Missguided
Jersey 90s neck pom pom playsuit in black £12
Ok so neither of these items are officially in the sale but as this entire item comes to less that £20 I thought I would include it as this literally sums up the word BARGAAAAIIIIINNNN!! I always thought black in summer was a bit too 90s goth for me but actually if you’ve got a bit of a tan going on and you accessorise well with the jewellery and go for some beach waves in the hair I reckon we can pull it off! For £17 I really don’t care either way!
