Festival season is about to spring itself upon us yet again, kicking off with Radio 1s Big Weekend this weekend in Exeter, Devon where the likes of Meghan Trainor, Chase and Status and Criag David will be taking to the stage. If you’ve got your ticket, that’s great and you’re probably reading this thinking ‘sorted!’ but have you thought about what to wear? Didn’t think so!
After trends were set at Coachella back in April by the likes of Kendall Jenner, Kimberley Garner and Charlie’s Angels inspired Instagram squad Laura Whitmore, Millie Mackintosh and Zara Martin, it’s time to hit the shops and get your festival fix for 2016. No need to trawl the internet as with a little help from myself I have done it for you, here’s what to look out for: Details of items are underneath the pictures.
2 pieces and co-ords
As Kimberley Garner showed us with her matching ensemble, 2 pieces are totally on trend for festivals and look super cute, especially if you go for an Aztec or printed pattern.

The shorts/skirt, bikini, jacket and statement jewellery look (i.e Kendall Jenner and Kimberley Garner)
This is such a simple but really stand out look, with the key pieces being the jacket and jewellery you choose. The shorts / skirt can just be any material or denim as Kendal Jenner showed us.

Shoes
Shoes are probably the most difficult part of festival attire, especially in the UK as if you’re caught off guard by the odd rain drop the last thing you want to be doing is squelching around in a pair of open toe sandals! If you’re festivaling abroad then it’s sandals all the way! Here’s some of my top picks for festival footwear…
Black star cowboy boots – Pretty Little Thing £35 https://www.prettylittlething.com/arrabella-black-faux-suede-star-studded-ankle-boots.html
Hunter classics in new colours this season! – Hunter £90 http://www.hunterboots.com/womens-tall-wellingtons/womens-original-tall-wellington-boots/blue/1999

Hats
The ultimate festival accessory – the hat! Triby, fedora, stetson you need at least one to complete your festival look, unless of course you’re going for a statement head piece!
Suede hat – Zara £35.99 http://www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/accessories/view-all/%22special-edition%22-suede-hat-c719013p3289630.html

Faux leather baseball cap – Missguided £8 https://www.missguided.co.uk/classic-black-faux-leather-baseball-cap
Bags
People always overlook the festival bag, including myself I nearly forgot to add this important accessory in to the mix! The last thing you want is to be carrying your pristine Celine around the grubby grounds of Glastonbury! With bags the key is to have something that you don’t need to be clutching onto or that restricts your movement, you need to free up those arms for dancing girl!
