What to wear walking

Ok so thanks for reading my Winter Walking post (if you haven’t, then you can read it again here… https://www.lexiecarducci.co.uk/winter-walking/ ). You know I love my fashion and I know sporty and fashion don’t normally go in the same boat, plus wearing 6inch heels for a 6 mile walk isn’t an option, unfortunately!

So here’s a little guide to looking hot whilst out for a trot!! Firstly it’s all about layering because at this time of year, it’s freezing cold outside so you want to be warm to start with but as you keep walking you tend to get warm and want to shed some layers. So number 1 item is a gilet and we’re being fashionable here so go for faux fur, which also looks super cute over a leather jacket!

Also, very important is footwear! Something comfy, flexible and not too heavy is great for pavement walking or power walking. We’re talking Nike free not Nike Airmax here!

Another option for footwear if you’re going to be outside in a muddy field or park is to get some traditional English wellies!! My go to brand is always Hunter, it’s like a tradition to have a pair and there are some great sales on too!! You can even get wellie toppers for them too in different colours which act as a sock lining too for extra comfort!

Finally, to complete your walking look it’s all about the accessories. Hats, gloves and scarves, again acting as layers you can remove if necessary but it’s always important to stay warm!
